Many problems that look like AI problems are really data, process or integration problems. Not every process needs AI, and adding it where it doesn't belong makes systems more expensive and less predictable. Before recommending a model, we look closely at the work itself.

What can AI realistically automate in a small business?
AI is reliable for work involving language and documents: answering questions from your own documentation, searching contracts and records by meaning, drafting routine documents, summarizing long material, and sorting incoming email, forms and requests. It is less suited to decisions where a mistake is costly and nobody reviews the result. There, we design AI to draft and recommend while a person approves.
Do we need to put our data into ChatGPT?
No. We choose between commercial and open models based on quality, cost and privacy for your use case, and design access controls, retention and data handling deliberately. When sensitivity or compliance calls for it, we use privately deployed or self-hosted models.
Can you build private or internal AI systems?
Yes. Internal knowledge assistants, business-specific copilots and AI features inside your existing software can be deployed privately, with access limited to the people and information they are meant for.
What is the difference between an AI assistant and workflow automation?
An AI assistant works with language: it answers questions, drafts and summarizes, usually with a person asking and reviewing. Workflow automation moves information between systems according to defined rules, the same way every time. Many useful systems combine the two, such as an automated process with one AI step that classifies incoming documents. If rules alone can do the job reliably, we recommend automation without AI.
